New Brand

We've refreshed our brand

We're delighted to be able to share Island Edition with you, our brand refresh, which reflects the Islands today: confident, calm and quietly distinctive.

Comprised of various elements including a new logo, fonts, colour palette, and illustrative icons, the brand draws from our landscape, culture, and tides. The colours emerge from the island itself, the typography feels timeless, and the motion flows with the sea.

The brand follows the Island's natural rhythm - the pacing and language all mirror what people come here for: space, simplicity, and a genuine sense of escape. Island Edition isn’t just a refresh, it’s a reflection of who we are.

Welcome to the new look and feel of the Islands - we hope you like it as much as we do, and agree that it reflects the premium of quality of what we collectively have to offer.

New Trade Site

New Trade & Media website incoming

We’ve mentioned it in previous mailers, and presented about it at the October trade workshop, but we’re now pleased to announce that we’ll be launching the new Trade and Media facing website next month.

Designed to better support our partners and strengthen how we work together to promote the islands, the platform has been developed with the needs of the travel trade and media firmly in mind.

It will provide a clearer, more intuitive way to access up-to-date destination information, product updates, itineraries, data, and media assets. Our goal is to:

  • Improve the user experience

  • Enhance the media library’s usability and flexibility

  • Communicate VisitGuernsey’s work and impact to the community

  • Drive better engagement with trade partners

  • Improve design and functionality of industry data

  • Make the site a valuable resource for industry partners

We look forward to sharing more details ahead of the January 2026 launch and welcoming you to the new platform soon.

Our 2026 Media Plan kicks off on Boxing Day

We’re pleased to share that our 2026 media plan is now finalised, and it includes some exciting new advertising channels to complement how we already reach our key audience segments. We kick the campaign off on Boxing Day, using our new, refreshed branding, across multiple digital channels.

Building brand awareness and driving potential visitors to the VisitGuernsey website remains a top priority, as this helps us refer them to your sites, and we know how important it is to use a diverse mix of channels to achieve this.

For next year, we have two bursts of TV advertising scheduled on Sky AdSmart in February and April, which we expect to reach an audience of approximately 2.14 million people. Alongside TV, we’ll continue leveraging digital platforms such as META (Facebook and Instagram), Google Display, YouTube, Google Paid Search, and Pinterest. These campaigns are designed to target people living within a 35-mile radius of departure points across the UK, St Malo, and Paris, plus all of Jersey.

Our out-of-home advertising - digital screens in railway stations, supermarkets, bus stops, and more - will run in two bursts across April/May and July. Print advertising will remain a key part of our strategy, running from January through to October. While print is harder to measure in terms of direct conversions, we value its reach and impact, especially in titles like The Times, BBC Good Food, Country File, Heat, GQ, and Condé Nast Traveller, which collectively reach hundreds of thousands of readers.

New for 2026, we’re adding TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Acast (podcasts) to our mix, enabling us to engage a broader audience. As with all our digital activity, we’ll monitor performance in real time and optimise by pushing the highest-performing creative to help drive bookings.

Carnival Cruises Logo
Guernsey strengthens cruise tourism ties with Carnival

This month, Guernsey welcomed representatives from Carnival UK for a working group session and a mini familiarisation visit to discuss the future of cruise tourism in the Islands. Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise company with eight brands and over 100 ships, represents a significant opportunity for Guernsey.

The Carnival team met with political representatives, including Deputies Kazantseva-Miller and Van Katwyk, alongside senior officers from Guernsey Ports, VisitGuernsey, Policy & Resources, Economic Development, Environment & Infrastructure, and the Guernsey Development Agency.

During the visit, Carnival shared its Economic Impact report and explored ways to strengthen collaboration in the years ahead. This initiative reflects Guernsey’s renewed commitment to growing cruise tourism. We remain open to conversations with all cruise lines, stakeholders, and businesses to identify opportunities and work together to develop Guernsey’s cruise industry.
