Traffic and Highway Services is actively updating Guernsey's roadworks map with all known road closures caused by the storm at https://roadworks.gov.gg/
Many bus routes are impacted following last night's storm. Bus service information will be regularly updated on buses.gg and the Buses.gg Facebook page.
Following the storm, we have been in touch with our contacts in Alderney, Sark, and Herm to ensure everything is okay. We’re pleased to report that all islands are safe and assessing damage caused overnight.
Sark Shipping has cancelled the 15:00 boat from Guernsey to Sark today, as well as the 16:00 return. The office is open as usual, however, the waiting room and left luggage cabins on the Inter-island Quay are currently closed. The Herm Trident has cancelled all sailings today due to the weather. Their kiosk will reopen on Saturday 10 January from 11:15 - 12:15, and tickets can also be purchased on board the ferry outside of kiosk opening hours. Head to www.traveltrident.com for more information.
Both the harbour and airport are fully open and operational today, following yesterday evening’s temporary closures due to the storm. All commercial partners, including car hire companies, cafés, and the duty-free shop, are also open for business.
