Tourism Advisory Board seeks experienced industry representatives to join the Board

The Tourism Advisory Board is looking for industry representatives to join the Board. This follows a change of leadership for the Board with the appointment of Co-Chairs Charlie Walker and Clare Crowson, who both have extensive experience in the sector, earlier this year.

Following a review by the Committee for Economic Development, in consultation with the Board, a revised structure will be taken forward. This includes a change from the ‘Tourism Management Board’ to the ‘Tourism Advisory Board’, which better reflects the purpose of the group.

The Board was created by the Committee for Economic Development in 2023 with the intention of creating a closer working relationship between industry and government. Designed to work in partnership with the industry, it represents an opportunity for board members, and the sectors they represent, to have a voice when decision-making about the future direction of tourism in the Islands.

Its role is to advise the States of Guernsey on the direction and strategy for tourism; to facilitate collaboration and cooperation across the sector and with the States and other stakeholders; and to oversee the distribution of grant-funding for tourism events and activities and product development.

Co-Chair of the Tourism Advisory Board, Charlie Walker, said:

“We are actively seeking enthusiastic industry representatives to join the Tourism Advisory Board at an exciting time. We are shaping the future direction of tourism off the back of a very successful 2025. Momentum is building and the outlook is genuinely positive.

“By working collaboratively across the sectors, sharing insight and ambition, we can strengthen partnerships and ensure continued success for our visitor economy now and in the future.”

If you are interested in joining the Board, please send in expressions of interest, along with a CV, to TAB@gov.gg by 5pm on Thurs 14 May 2026.
