Seasonal Focuses

The Islands of Guernsey are a destination worth exploring year-round. In each season, we encourage you to tailor your messaging to support the seasonal focuses that will feature in our advertising, digital marketing and PR.

Whether it’s promoting island hopping, hiking, history or wild swimming, or creating tie-in events or offers to coincide with important dates, this seasonal approach helps us all showcase our Islands in an engaging and coordinated way.

Spring

With our location off the coast of Normandy, spring arrives a few weeks early on our Islands. Visitors can expect mild days, beautiful flowers and the beginning of al fresco dining season. This is an excellent time of year to get outdoors with the Spring Walking Festival, join Liberation Day celebrations, and spend time in nature. The Islands are ideal for Easter mini-breaks and early summer getaways.

Summer

In summer, wild swimming, music festivals, and island hopping take centre stage. This is peak time for watersports, star bathing and beachfront yoga. The extended sunlight hours allow for longer explorations, late-evening sunsets on the west coast, and uninterrupted sea views.

With a fresh breeze in the air, autumn is perfect for exploring the cliffs and coastlines on hikes or by bike. Visitors can take part in local food festivals, discover historic sites and museums, and enjoy the quieter off-season, perfect for those seeking a chance to unwind and relax.
