We offer a comprehensive programme of training opportunities to help travel trade partners build expert knowledge of the Islands of Guernsey. Whether you’re looking to upskill your team, deepen product understanding, or access high‑quality sales tools, our training options are designed to support you.
To arrange tailored in‑person or online training at any time, please contact jo.ferguson@gov.gg.
In partnership with Premier, we will be delivering a series of structured in‑person training sessions this March. These sessions provide agents with an in‑depth introduction to the Islands of Guernsey, covering key product highlights, seasonal opportunities, and essential destination knowledge. This option is ideal for those wanting facilitated training delivered with a major trade partner.
We also offer bespoke one‑to‑one training, available in-person and online, that can be arranged at a time to suit you. These personalised sessions are designed to be flexible and can include:
A full destination overview of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm and Lihou
Insights into product offerings, partner services, and preferential trade rates
An introduction to our annual Events Guide to support year‑round sales
For larger teams or remote workforces, we can arrange dedicated webinars that deliver the same expert training in a convenient, virtual format. Sessions can be customised to focus on specific product areas or themes relevant to your market.
Our self‑paced learning platform, GuernseySpecialist.com, offers a complete suite of training modules. Agents can complete the course, earn a certificate, and access a range of exclusive incentives - ideal for new starters or refresher training.
To help trade partners experience the destination first‑hand, we offer a limited number of FAM trip opportunities throughout the year. These hosted visits provide agents and media partners with the chance to explore the islands, experience key products, meet local operators, and gain practical insight into how best to sell the destination.
FAM trips typically include visits to accommodation providers, attractions, coastal highlights, and hospitality partners across Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm and Lihou.
