Castle Cornet’s popular medieval day Fete d’Etai returns for another year.
Medieval history will be celebrated with children’s activities, live music and living history on Sunday 23rd August between 10am and 5pm.
Members of Jersey’s group The Duke’s Leopards will return to the Castle. They will be setting up a small medieval camp with a cooking area, games and more. There will also be a chance to look at Medieval recipes and ingredients.
The live action role play group Tol Galen will once again be providing entertainment in the form of sword fights and displays of weapons and armour. This will be accompanied by arts and crafts activities. Visitors can meet artist Rae Bearder and have a go at willow weaving. There is also the chance to learn how to make braid with a lucet.
The young (and young at heart) are invited to join in with a special trail for the day to find giant dragon eggs.

“We're delighted to welcome Fete d'Etai back to Castle Cornet for another year. There's something for everyone, whether you're watching the sword fights and living history, trying your hand at willow weaving or lucet braid-making, or hunting down giant dragon eggs on the special trail. It's a brilliant, hands-on way to bring the Castle's medieval past to life, and just like in previous years, if you join us in medieval dress, you will be admitted free of charge’.
