Little Chapel plans move forward with new facilities proposal

Plans to enhance one of Guernsey’s most cherished visitor attractions, the Little Chapel, are progressing with proposals for a new interpretation centre and public toilet facilities now under consideration. The project aims to improve the visitor experience at the historic site, which continues to attract both locals and tourists year‑round.

The development would include new pathways and small buildings designed to make the site more accessible and informative for visitors. The enhancements form part of broader efforts by the Little Chapel Foundation to ensure the long‑term conservation and enjoyment of the iconic structure, originally created by Brother Deodat in the early 20th century.

The Little Chapel remains one of Guernsey’s most recognisable landmarks, celebrated for its intricate decoration of mosaic, china and shells, and maintained by the Foundation through ongoing restoration and improvement initiatives.
