VisitGuernsey and Aurigny launch joint campaign to promote Guernsey as “The Simplest Way to Feel a World Away”

VisitGuernsey has launched its largest-ever joint marketing campaign with Aurigny, strengthening our long-term partnership to drive visitor growth to the islands for Summer 2026. Working closely with Guernsey’s national airline, the campaign positions the destination as “The Simplest Way to Feel a World Away”, responding to growing demand for easy, reassuring travel experiences that allow visitors to unwind and reconnect.

Backed by Aurigny’s extensive route network from 12 airports across the British Isles, France and Ireland, the campaign is being delivered at national scale, with added support from key airport partners including Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Exeter. From today, a new ITV1 prime-time TV advert will deliver over 25 million impacts across the UK, supported by complementary digital activity.

Building on a successful 2025 campaign that contributed to a 12% increase in air visitors, activity will be further expanded for 2026, demonstrating the power of collaborative destination and airline marketing.

London Campaign 2026.jpg
New campaign goes live in Central London

We’re excited to share that our new out‑of‑home campaign is now live across Central London from 28 April to 11 May.

The activity is running across rail stations, bus stops and Waitrose stores, placing Guernsey front of mind in high‑footfall locations and everyday moments. Key rail sites include Waterloo, Liverpool Street, Cannon Street, Fenchurch Street and Blackfriars, giving us strong exposure among London commuters.

In total, the campaign covers 208 sites and is supported by a targeted programmatic approach. Rail and street furniture placements focus on peak commuter times, while Waitrose sites activate at weekends, with messaging linked to the next available London–Guernsey flights to drive spontaneity and intent.

With an estimated 9.7 million impressions, this campaign is all about reminding people how quick and easy it is to escape to Guernsey. We hope our trade partners will feel the benefit through increased awareness, interest and enquiries over the coming weeks.

St Malo Trip 2026.jpg
Bonjour Saint Malo

VisitGuernsey were delighted to join Brittany Ferries for a pop-up desk in the Saint-Malo Visitor Information Centre earlier this month. The teams were there to launch the new ticket system, enabling visitors to book tickets to Guernsey at the St Malo office, inspire visitors and answer questions about the Islands of Guernsey.

Almost immediately we saw visitors taking advantage of this. Booking their tickets at the centre on Friday and travelled on Saturday morning’s sailing to Guernsey for a day trip.

The pop-up also coincided with the Le Nautique de Saint-Malo (the St Malo boat show), with Guernsey Marinas exhibiting at the show, making the most of the opportunity to promote to visiting yachtsman and directing visitors coming for longer to the info centre for the VisitGuernsey team to answer some of their more detailed questions.
