VisitGuernsey and Aurigny launch biggest-ever joint campaign to promote the Islands of Guernsey as 'The Simplest Way to Feel a World Away'

VisitGuernsey and Aurigny are pleased to announce a renewed and expanded partnership to drive visitor growth to the Islands for Summer 2026.

As the national airline of the Bailiwick, the carrier operates flights from 12 origin airports across key markets in the British Isles, France, and the Republic of Ireland, offering more than a quarter of a million inbound seats to prospective holidaymakers this summer.

The partnership has delivered a large-scale campaign that positions Guernsey as the destination that is “The Simplest Way To Feel a World Away”. The creative direction reflects a growing demand in 2026 for uncomplicated, reassuring travel experiences, offering visitors an opportunity to unwind, reset, and reconnect in a peaceful island setting.

The campaign has also been commercially supported by Aurigny’s extensive network of airport partners, including Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Exeter Airports – adding further value and scale to the Bailiwick’s marketing efforts.

Nationwide TV Campaign Launching 1 May

From 1 May, a new television advertisement will air on ITV1 prime-time television, delivering more than 25 million ad impacts across the UK. The campaign has been carefully tailored to resonate with prospective holidaymakers who may not typically consider Guernsey as a destination, with many reconsidering their usual holiday hot spots due to current global tensions.

Building Upon the Success of 2025 – a 12% Increase in Air Visitors

Last year’s campaign demonstrated the effectiveness of the partnership between VisitGuernsey and Aurigny, with statistical analysis showing that linear television advertising drove a 9% increase in flight searches on Aurigny.com. Complementary digital activity contributed to incremental inbound bookings. It has since been reported that air visitors increased by 12% in 2025 compared to 2024, underscoring the importance and success of the partnership approach last year. Subsequently, activity will be further scaled for 2026.

Sam Talbot, Head of Marketing for Aurigny, said: “Having a national airline working in close partnership with a national tourism marketing organisation is a rare combination, and one that provides a strong recipe for success - something clearly demonstrated by our 2025 results. We see Visit Guernsey as an extension of our own team, united by a shared ambition to deliver for the islands.”

“Together, with Aurigny’s significant capacity across key markets in the British Isles and Europe, and our collective understanding of the destination, our audiences, and our data, we are optimally placed to achieve great things for Guernsey.”

Zoe Gosling, Head of Marketing for Visit Guernsey, said: “Working collaboratively with carriers is the most impactful and cost-effective way for us to reach as big an audience as possible.

This partnership with Aurigny allows us to tell a stronger story about the Islands of Guernsey, showcasing how connected and vibrant our destination truly is for visitors. As a small, albeit very special, destination competing in a large, crowded market space, working together makes sense. This approach also ensures we retain a strong and supportive relationship with our key partners.

Promoting the destination and Aurigny’s network of flights in tandem is increasingly our preferred approach: not only do we get a better return, but it maximises the impact we can make - and it is simpler for the consumer to make a booking.”
