The Ambassador Scheme

The Ambassador Training Scheme has been developed to enhance the overall visitor experience, encouraging the tourism sector to all fly the flag for Guernsey.

Working together with VisitGuernsey, the Tourism Management Board (TMB) has launched the Scheme, which is designed for those working in visitor-facing roles. The aim is to deliver an exceptional level of customer service and Island knowledge, encouraging a consistent, quality approach.

The programme is designed to be a module delivered as part of businesses ongoing training and can be adapted to suit that sector. The TMB is also encouraging industry groups to deliver sessions to allow independent traders to take part. VisitGuernsey will also offer the opportunity to join an online or in-person training session, which are designed to be interactive, to stimulate discussion and make meaningful industry connections.

Once complete, there is a short survey to fill in below. Ambassador badges can then be collected from the Visitor Information Centre. Alternatively, a digital version of the badge can be displayed within your business communication, on request.

As published in the 2025 Travel Bulletin, downloadable below, the Island maintained an excellent Net Promoter Score of 71 in Q3 and Q4 of 2025, a reflection of the quality experience already being delivered by the tourism sector.
