Guernsey's enriched 2026 tourism offer with inspiring new features

Press release to French media - 2 February 2026

Guernsey, Channel Islands – In 2026, Guernsey continues its evolution as an island destination with character, unveiling a series of new features that enrich the visitor experience. Renowned for its unspoilt coastal landscapes, historical heritage and warm atmosphere, the island is once again strengthening its attractiveness this year with new events, immersive wellness experiences and a booming gastronomic scene.

The Big Eat Guernsey: a new must-see gourmet event

New for 2026, The Big Eat Guernsey is a highlight of the island's culinary calendar. Held twice a year, in April and October, this month-long festival celebrates the richness of local products and the know-how of Guernsey chefs. Restaurants, cafes and producers come together to offer exclusive menus and immersive experiences, ranging from alfresco meals facing the sea to foraging outings, including meetings with the island's artisans. Structured around themes such as outdoor gastronomy, locavore cuisine and French influences, the festival aims to strengthen Guernsey's reputation as an authentic and creative gastronomic destination. With a combination of single and double occupancy accommodations, Camp de Rêves also lends itself to hosting groups, school trips and team retreats, with a total on-site capacity of 50 people.

New glamping lodges at Camp de Rêves

Guernsey's offer of unusual accommodation is also enriched in 2026 with the opening of new ranger lodges at Camp de Rêves. Available from April, these high-end glamping lodges have been designed to offer a total immersion in nature, without compromising on comfort. Each lodge has three bedrooms, a wood-burning stove, a hanging net for stargazing and a private terrace, nestled in a secluded garden.

Designed for families as well as for travellers looking for original experiences, these new accommodations allow you to take full advantage of the natural setting of the island, in an atmosphere that is both warm and preserved.

A yoga retreat on the island of Herm, to reconnect with the essentials

In the spring of 2026, the island of Herm, accessible by boat and entirely pedestrianised, will host a yoga retreat under the sign of relaxation and rejuvenation. Organised from April 17 to 19 by Yoga Elements, this wellness getaway offers a complete program combining Hatha and Yin yoga, guided meditation and relaxation sessions, in an exceptional natural setting. Participants will stay at the White House Hotel or in cottages and enjoy an environment conducive to disconnection, punctuated by coastal walks and, for those who wish, holistic treatments. An intimate experience, ideal for slowing down and reconnecting with yourself, at the soothing rhythm of the island.

La Grande Mare: a large-scale project on the west coast of Guernsey

Located on the west coast of Guernsey, the La Grande Mare estate is undergoing an ambitious transformation programme to create a world-class country club. This project includes an 18-hole golf course, a sports performance centre, a spa, a health club and a high-end restaurant offer, all designed with an environmentally friendly approach. The opening of the golf course is scheduled for August 2026, marking a key milestone in the development of this new emblematic address on the island.

A gastronomic scene in full recognition

The year 2025 marked a turning point for Guernsey gastronomy, with the opening of several ambitious restaurants and growing recognition on an international scale. The Fukku Japanese restaurant, located in St Peter Port, showcases precise and accessible Japanese cuisine, mixing local products and Japanese inspirations.

Open on the north coast of Guernsey, Vraic offers an intimate gastronomic experience led by Michelin-starred chef Nathan Davies. The restaurant takes its name from the Guernsey word for seaweed, which is omnipresent in its culinary approach. Through an evolving tasting menu, Vraic highlights seafood, local seaweed and seasonal ingredients, cooked over a wood fire. This confidential restaurant seduces with a precise cuisine, deeply rooted in the landscape and identity of the island, and contributes to the growing gastronomic recognition of Guernsey.

Located in the historic Market Square, Alba brings a Mediterranean and festive touch to Guernsey's gastronomic offer. Its menu of small plates is inspired by French, Spanish and Italian cuisines, while highlighting local products. The experience continues around a cocktail bar with Cuban and Mexican influences, with a wide selection of rums and tequilas, all in a lively atmosphere punctuated by DJ sets. Alba thus imposes itself as a place of life as much as a gourmet table, popular with visitors and locals alike.

Integrated into the 2025 Michelin Guide, these three restaurants put Guernsey's gastronomy in the spotlight. Through a demanding cuisine, rooted in the local terroir and sublimating the products of the sea and the land, they illustrate the know-how of the island's chefs and actively participate in its culinary influence, both regionally and internationally.

Wellbeing and lifestyle: a holistic approach to travel

Guernsey's wellness offer also continues to expand with experiences designed to promote relaxation and movement in the middle of nature.

Located on the west coast of Guernsey, Rock Box Sauna offers an original approach to well-being, in direct connection with the natural elements. This Finnish sauna, housed in an old van and heated by a wood fire, offers a panoramic view of the sea, inviting you to an immersive relaxation experience. Opened seasonally between the beaches of Cobo and Vazon, Rock Box Sauna captivates with its friendly spirit and spectacular setting, and is aimed at both wellness enthusiasts and travellers looking for authentic experiences.

Located in St Andrew's, Forme Pilates is a contemporary Pilates studio designed as a place to reconnect with the body. Opened in 2025, it offers personalised sessions for individuals or duos, in a calm and uncluttered environment. Fully equipped with reformers and accessories, the studio combines the principles of classic Pilates with more modern approaches, allowing you to work on strength, mobility and posture.

Guernsey even more accessible from Paris from spring 2026

From 1 April 2026, Alderney will enrich its offer between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Guernsey with the addition of a new weekly rotation, operated every Wednesday. This additional frequency will bring the number of return flights per week to three, alongside the routes already offered on Mondays and Fridays. It will offer more flexibility to French and international travellers, while facilitating connections via Paris CDG, one of Europe's leading air hubs connecting more than 300 destinations around the world. An additional asset to support the tourism dynamic and strengthen the accessibility of Guernsey.
